How to Use the Abbreviation Search Interface Using Google

  1. Choose a language from the menu on the left and click on Find;

  2. Do NOT touch any other part of the search string;

  3. To refine your search later on you may add a related term, replacing keyword as follows:

    Example:

    GPRS mobile
    [without quotation marks: searches for both words anywhere on page]
    [=> restricts your search to mobile-telephony-related abbreviations]

  4. To increase results: Insert full stops (Example: instead of mtbf, try: "m.t.b.f." including the quotation marks)

NOTE: Google does not accept the wildcard (*). Google is NOT case sensitive.

Tip: If you can't find your term, try search criteria in another language, for example English.

Alternatively, you could try using the glossary search interface.
